Your Aarke takes a standard screw-in cylinder
The Aarke Carbonator is a beautifully made machine, and the good news is that it does not need a special cylinder. It uses the same standard 60L screw-in CO2 cylinder that SodaStream, Philips and Breville machines use. That means our refill fits your Aarke without any adapter or workaround.
You do not have to part with your machine to keep it running. You simply send the empty cylinder back and we return it filled with certified food-grade gas. The machine stays on your bench looking exactly as good as the day you bought it.
A premium refill for a premium machine
Every cylinder is filled to 450g, more than the 400g to 425g industry norm, with food-grade certified CO2 refilled locally in New Zealand. You get a cleaner, more reliable pour and more sparkling water between swaps. For a machine chosen on quality, the gas inside it should match.

Price and deposit
Refills are $29 per cylinder. On your first order there is a $10 refundable cylinder deposit that is returned to you when cylinders come back. Returns are free and prepaid, so the only thing you do is swap an empty for a full one.

How often will you need to swap?
A full 60L cylinder carbonates around 60 litres of water, which is several weeks of sparkling water for a typical household. With the 2-cylinder minimum you always have a spare ready, so your Aarke never sits idle waiting on gas. The 450g fill stretches a little further than a standard refill, which means fewer swaps across the year.
Caring for your Aarke and its cylinder
Keep cylinders upright and away from heat, and store them out of reach of children. The cylinder itself needs no maintenance between refills. When it runs flat, it goes back in the box and we return it filled, so your routine is just swap, carbonate, repeat. Nothing about the gas changes the way you use the machine you chose.
